Developmental Soccer League (DSL) uniforms are ordered online directly from Capelli Sports. We will use these until May 2023; players returning from our Fall 2021 season are not required to purchase a new kit.

For those that do require a uniform, it is very important to order in a timely manner, as we will not carry any inventory. Please place your order as soon as possible. For those enrolling late, we will have pinnies available for the games.

Uniform kits include 2 shirts (home & away), one pair of black shorts and one pair of blue socks (all other items are optional). We will NOT have any uniforms for you to purchase on site; all uniforms must be ordered online from Capelli Sport.

Volunteer Coach

Each group will be required to provide 2-4 volunteer coaches to assist with Friday night sessions. Assist coaches will work directly with our academy coaches during the training and games each week.

Focus on teaching a foundation technically and tactically on how to play soccer.

Ideal for those wishing to transition from a recreational program to a competitive team, returning to soccer, or for those without experience wishing to receive technical instruction from the outset.

No games although there will be scrimmages during the session to implement the skill being taught.

What will players learn?

The Rush Mini’s program is a unique opportunity to introduce your 18–36-month child to soccer. Rush Mini’s will give your child a great start to their physical education and this lifetime sport.

The Rush Mini’s program is learning based and designed to improve your child’s balance and coordination while developing movement skills which are key to their development.

The coaching staff will lead you and your child through fun and age-appropriate game-based activities. These activities will incorporate a soccer ball which develops motor skills and with the guidance of our coaching staff you will help your child implement the skills being taught. The program starts with the focus on individual based games that steadily introduce players to small group activities and then entire team activities as they become more comfortable with their environment.

Each class has a maximum of 12 players accompanied by their parent(s) or adult guardians for all activities.
Sessions are coach lead and last for 45 minutes. Parent participation with their children during the session is required.

The emphasis is very firmly on fun!

Q. What are the main topics the program will cover?

A: We will introduce your child to different types of movement, working on their coordination and motor skills.

The Mighty Mites program is a unique opportunity to introduce your child to soccer.

Mighty Mites will give your child a great start to this lifetime sport and will also prepare them for our Developmental Soccer Leagues.

We introduce children to the game of soccer while developing their motor skills, ball skills, and concepts of small sided games.

Sessions are coach lead and last for 60 minutes. Parent participation with their children during the session is required.

The emphasis is very firmly on fun!

Q: How do I know if my child is ready? It’s hard to have set criteria to determine if your child is ready. If they are ready for pre-school then they will be ready for this clinic. If they can run and laugh, then they are ready.

Q: What is the parent involvement with the youngest players? We encourage players to participate without their parents. If the players needs the parent to jump in the session, we ask that the parent participate with a ball to show the player how much fun they are having in the activities. Sometimes players under 3 years old may not fully participate since it is so new to them. Give the player a chance to learn how it works to participate in a group and they will catch on after a few sessions. This is very common with players between 2 ½ - 4 years old.

Q: What will we do in this program? The program is set up for you to work one on one with your child. It is a fun learning environment. Q. What are the main topics the program will cover? Passion, love for the game, excitement, fun first and foremost. Within the positive psychology we will focus on individual’s with a ball at their foot focusing mainly on dribbling, dribbling and more dribbling. We also emphasize the excitement of scoring goals and the concept behind that.

Q: Will there be teams and games? There are no set teams, they will be separated by age group (and sometimes ability). The Rush Staff will introduce some scrimmages. They will play 3 against 3 with, again, a heavy emphasis on each player having FUN within the training session.

Program infoThis monthly program introduces your child to the team environment and builds off the Mighty Mites program. Teams are led by a licensed coach who will oversee the group of 8-10 players. This program follows a curriculum specifically designed for 4&5 year old children so that they are provided with a foundation to develop the technical skill set of the beautiful game.This program offers two sixty minute sessions per week. The first will be a training session that follows a specific topic working towards the second session which is a 4v4 game within the team group. This provides a managed learning environment and follows the recommendation of US Soccer.

This program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00pm each week starting in August.
