Florida Rush Academy Goalkeeper Training

Florida Rush is pleased to offer a top notch "Keeper Training" program which focuses on the specialized skills necessary for young goalkeepers to excel within the sport of soccer.  Under the guidance of Marcos Machado, Rush Technical Director, each session will focus on technical/tactical skills geared towards specific age groups.

To provide our goalkeepers the best training environment possible, the following guidelines have been established:

Each Competitive team must send their goalkeeper to goalkeeper training.  A goalkeeper cannot develop to the best of their ability if they only attend one session every three weeks.  If a second goalkeeper is needed or a team has two goalkeepers on the roster that goalkeeper may attend at the authorization of the Technical Director.

Each goalkeeper will be dressed appropriately for goalkeeper training.  That includes proper goalkeeper pants (if is necessary), a long sleeve shirt, soccer boots, shin-guards, goalkeeper gloves and a properly inflated soccer ball.

Each goalkeeper will train with the appropriate age group and skill level.  There will be no exceptions unless authorized by the Technical Director.

All goalkeepers are expected to attend goalkeeper training. If there is a conflict with other team sessions, goalkeeper training takes priority.

Attendance will be kept at every training session, staff to goalkeeper ratio will be 1:8 or better.
